Left Behind is a deeply personal series exploring the relationship between my late grandfather (pictured first) and myself. After his sudden passing in 2015, my mother and I spent weeks going through his old photos, and I came to love in particular a box of his old slide photographs. I realised going through these images that I didn't really know my Pa very well at all. I began the process of burning back into the images in 2016 as a way to try and connect to my Pa and his family and friends, most of whom I never got the opportunity to meet.

Left Behind is an emotional installation piece about love, loss and family.
